Snow Day

Another snow day here in the northeast. A freshly fallen blanket of snow covers the landscape and will continue through tomorrow. Snow always brings the quiet; the normal morning sounds of people busily preparing for the workday are muffled or completely erased by the white stuff. I think it's Mother Nature's way of saying, "take a break," and who am I to question Mother Nature. So, I've taken the day off rather than risk further injury to my ankle, but I have a list full of chores to keep myself busy. Of course, I'd rather be out there making some pictures, because a quiet landscape has an endless array of possibilities, but I'll be patient just a little longer.
