Matthew in full dress uniform

My son Matthew is a volunteer firefighter with the Shaker Road Loudonville Fire Department. The Hudson Valley Volunteer Firefighters Association had their annual parade this past Saturday in Lake George and Matthew marched with the colour guard. I was very, very proud of him. He looked so handsome in his uniform. Luckily, the rain held out and it was awesome!

Good for Matthew. I once lived and worked with some firemen for several years. There were some very special people who taught me to swim when I was 30.

Wow, cool beans. They are a rare breed...courage and commitment. They put their lives on the line every time they walk out that door for a call.
